Fenwick Girls Dominate Evanston, Roll to 9–1 Victory

The Fenwick Girls’ hockey team delivered a statement win on Sunday night, overpowering the Evanston Wildkits in a commanding 9–1 victory.

It was a complete team effort from start to finish, with multiple Friars stepping up on both ends of the ice. Freshman Libby Boveri and junior Molly Wunderlich led the charge, each netting a hat trick. Boveri also added four assists for a seven-point night.

Junior Kate Mulvihill turned in an outstanding performance as well, tallying five assists and scoring twice, earning one of two Playmaker Awards on the night. The other went to Boveri.

Sophomore Lyric Bessey found the back of the net and added an assist, while sophomore Reese Mangano picked up two helpers and junior Zoe Rose added one assist.

Offensively, the Friars poured on pressure from the opening puck drop, firing 60 shots on goal. Freshman goaltender Luciani Pilati stood tall when called upon, making six saves in the win.

With the victory, Fenwick improves to 5-1-2 on the season.
