Leave a Legacy Fund
At Fenwick Hockey, we are committed to helping student-athletes find success in the classroom, on the ice, and after graduation. That has been our mission for over 60 years, dating back to 1963. Fenwick Hockey's Leave a Legacy Fund is committed to making an impact on the lives of our student-athletes by helping offset the rising costs associated with hockey.
The purpose of this fund is to provide alumni, parents, and friends of Fenwick Hockey the ability to support the Fenwick Hockey program through charitable donations Gifts to this fund support the long-term sustainability of the program as costs continue to rise statewide. As part of Fenwick's restricted gift policy, 10% of the donations collected by the Leave a Legacy Fund will be directed to the Fenwick Annual Fund for the support of the School's general operating budget. The remaining 90% will be allocated evenly to three priorities: the Present, the Future, and Financial Aid/Scholarships.
The Present
Fenwick Hockey's Annual Budget is roughly $300,000. While receive some financial support from the school, the remaining cost is passed on to our families. With ice costs soaring over $500 per hour and league and tournament fees over $15,000 per team, we need your help to keep costs down.
The Hockey Directors will work with the Fenwick Hockey Board to plan and spend these funds to prioritize ice time and player development opportunities.
The Future
With the organization spending more than $150,000 on ice annually and without a home for all our teams, this portion of the fund assist in our search for a long-term home for the program. This portion of the fund is also dedicated to ensuring that we are continuously able to hire and retain top coaches—on and off the ice.
The Hockey Directors will work with Fenwick’s Athletic Director to plan and spend these funds to ensure long-term sustainability for both Boys and Girls Hockey.
Financial Aid
The cost of attending Fenwick and playing hockey here is rising every year. Between tuition and hockey fees, our hockey families are spending roughly $25,000 ($6,000+ with hockey fees and equipment) per year to be a Fenwick student-athlete.
With your help, we can make Fenwick Hockey accessible to more players and families, and make sure that finances are not an obstacle for prospective student-athletes.
Leave a Legacy Fund
The Fenwick Hockey Leave a Legacy Fund was created to help sustain our tradition of scholastic and athletic excellence by providing a way for former players, families, and friends of Fenwick Hockey to give monthly or annually to help offset program expenses. With ice costs skyrocketing to over $550/hour, your gift will make a huge difference for the both our current families and the long term success of the program.
You can contribute on a monthly on annual basis, either online with a small fee or by checks payable to "Fenwick Hockey."
