Kate Mulvihill Named 2026 AHAI Girls High School Player of the Year!

Fenwick junior and girls hockey captain Kate Mulvihill has been named the 2026 AHAI Girls High School Player of the Year — one of the highest honors in Illinois high school hockey.

Selected by league representatives, Kate was recognized for her outstanding contributions to her team, unwavering dedication, exceptional ability, and the leadership and team spirit she brings to the ice every day.

A true leader for the Friars, Kate has set the standard this season through her work ethic, competitive drive, and commitment to elevating those around her.

She will be formally presented with the award during the first intermission of the Girls High School State Championship game on March 15 at 12:00 p.m. at Allstate Arena.
