The Paul Hruby Cup is a best of 3 game series between cross town rivals OPRF Huskies Hockey Club and Fenwick Friars Hockey team. The Cup is awarded to the winner of the series.
The Series is named in honor of Paul Hruby, namesake of OPRF Hockey and Fenwick Hockey's home rink. Hruby is a pioneer of hockey in Oak Park and an Illinois Hockey Hall of Fame inductee. He introduced countless current and former players to the sport and even coached at both programs.
This series started in the '21-'22 season, OPRF won the inaugural cup in 2 games. In the '22-'23 season, Fenwick brough it back in 3 games.
